Officially, no – however, the industry is currently working toward a rating system that will make it easier for customers to understand how effective their curtains and blinds are. R-Value is the measure of thermal resistance used within the building and construction industries. It covers how much a material decreases temperature transfer for insulating buildings. The higher the R-Value, the more effective the insulation.
Unfortunately, windows are often forgotten when it comes to insulating our homes, though up to 25% of heating and cooling can be lost through the glass!
